His career at Milgrim Inc. began as an assistant manager from 1949 to 1950, before progressing to the role of merchandiser from 1950 to 1952, vice president and general merchandiser from 1952 to 1957 and president and director from 1957 to 1990. He also served as the president of Frankly Paul Bailey Inc. in 1965 and the vice president of M and M Receivers Association from 1958 to 1968. Prior to becoming an esteemed merchandiser, Mr. Milgrim served with the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1949.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Milgrim remains informed of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations. He is also a member of the Oakwood Country Club, the Cleveland Mid-Day Club, the City Club of Cleveland, the Cleveland Play House and the Turnberry Isle Country Club. Additionally, he has volunteered in his field and community as well. The president of the Severance Center Merchants Association from 1963 to 1966, he also held the same role for the Greater Cleveland Area Chapter of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence in 1973. Furthermore, Mr. Milgrim excelled as the chair of the board of Alcoholism Services of Cleveland and the chair of the advisory council of the Northeast Ohio Division of the Salvation Army in 1976.
Born in New York City to Charles Milgrim and Sally Knobel, Mr. Milgrim has been happily married to Carol E. Kleinman since 1945. He is also the proud father of two wonderful children, Nancy Ellen and Catherine. In his free time, he enjoys collecting sports memorabilia and United States historical memorabilia. In light of all his accomplishments, Mr. Milgrim has previously been featured in several editions of Who's Who in America and Who's Who in World.
