Thomas Carter Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Engineering

Mr. Carter retired in 2005 after devoting himself to military service and the engineering industry



    BELLE ISLE, FL, September 05, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Carter has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After serving as a master chief in the U.S. Navy between 1954 and 1976, Mr. Carter worked as a contract administrator for Red Lobster Restaurants for two years. Subsequently, he found success as an independent engineer for two years before joining Blacando Development Corporation as a secretary, with which he remained from 1980 until 1984. For the following seven years, he excelled as the chief engineer for D.A.M.S., Inc. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Carter served as an estimator for Independent Mechanical Design Co., Inc. between 1996 and 2005.

A certified construction inspector, Mr. Carter attended Jones college, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1980 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1982. Throughout his professional journey, he has networked with other industry professionals via his membership with the Fleet Reserve Association, the Navy SeaBee Veterans of America, and the Armed Forces Top Enlisted Association. In civic affairs, Mr. Carter contributes his time and resources through the Rafman Club Orlando, the American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans.

Mr. Carter has been honored many times for his professional accomplishments. In addition to winning the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017, he has been featured in publications such as Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World. Adjacent to his career, Mr. Carter has been married to his wife, Janet Tucker, for more than 60 years, and together they are the proud parents of three children.
