    DALLAS, TX, September 09, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Franklin Harris "Frank" Hytken with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Throughout his career, Mr. Hytken has been affiliated with professional and civic organizations. He is a Fellow of the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations, an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization exploring leading-edge developments in global affairs, a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to applying high level business expertise and solutions to make the military and government more efficient and effective, save taxpayer dollars and protect the homeland, and a Forum member of the John G. Tower Center for Public Policy and International Affairs at Southern Methodist University. He is also a member of the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, a non-profit, non-partisan organization focused primarily on the international aspects of business, politics, culture and foreign policy. He was a charter member of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.

Mr. Hytken served as a member of the non-partisan, non-profit Committee for a Qualified Judiciary, promoting a competent, fair and impartial judiciary by providing voters with independent ratings of candidates for judicial offices in Dallas. Active in politics, Mr. Hytken served as chairman of the Democratic Legislative District Executive Committee. The American Bar Foundation, The Texas Bar Foundation and The Dallas Bar Foundation have all named Mr. Hytken as a Life Fellow. The College of the State Bar of Texas recognized Mr. Hytken for his studies in the law in 1991.

An alumnus of Northwestern University, Mr. Hytken received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1969 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1972 from the Northwestern University School of Law. He started college at the age of 16 and was a member of the track team at Northwestern. He volunteered for the Marines in 1968. Mr. Hytken served to Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served overseas with 3rd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force (Pacific) and was appointed a Military Judge for the Department of the Navy by the Judge Advocate General in 1976.

During his career, he was admitted to the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the State Bar of Texas, the Fifth and Eleventh Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Federal Districts of Texas, The Court of Military Appeals, and The U.S. Tax Court. The National Board of Trial Advocacy certified Mr. Hytken as a Civil Trial Attorney in 1989. The Dallas Association of Legal Secretaries selected Mr. Hytken as Boss of the Year for 1983-84.
Mr. Hytken transitioned from advising and negotiating deals on behalf of clients to more direct involvement in real estate development, including multi-family housing, hotels and shopping. He was named Texas Businessman of the Year (2004-2005).

Mr. Hytken is a member of the American Legion and Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. one of the oldest independent, non-profit, non-partisan veterans organizations, founded by Civil War Veterans. He is a Founding Member of the Society for Classical Reform Judaism and has served as National Vice President and Board Member of the American Council for Judaism. He has been a Vice President and Board Member of the American Jewish Committee, Dallas Chapter, (a non-profit, non-partisan organization promoting human rights, tolerance and democratic values around the world) and was also a member of its National Council. He is on the Board of the Southwest Jewish Congress. He was Co-President of a B'nai Brith Couples Lodge in Dallas.

Mr. Hytken received a commission as a Kentucky Colonel in 1973 (the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky, a recognition of an individual's noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to our community, state, and nation.) He was an Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America, and was instrumental in bringing the Operation Amigo international student exchange program to Kentucky. He is a member of Delta Upsilon International Fraternity, the world's oldest non-secret, non-hazing fraternity.

Mr. Hytken is also a celebrated Marquis listee featured in several editions of Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
