Jerry Wayne Mill, CFA, Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Mr. Mill has been endorsed by Marquis Who's Who as a leader in the field of finance

CENTENNIAL, CO, September 10, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jerry Wayne Mill, CFA, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Mill celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a career spanning five decades, Mr. Mill was the owner and a portfolio manager for Mill Asset Management, Incorporated from 1995 to 2016 before his retirement in 2017. He previously worked as a portfolio manager for Invesco Trust Company from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that position, Mr. Mill excelled in the roles of a portfolio manager and a financial analyst for Financial Programs in Denver from 1985 to 1991. He began his career as an engineer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration from 1967 to 1980, at which point he accepted the post of an engineer for Martin Marietta Incorporated.

Prior to his professional career, Mr. Mill pursued an education at the University of California Berkeley and earned a Bachelor of Arts in physics in 1967. He completed additional coursework at the University of Denver, where he subsequently graduated with a Master of Business Administration in finance in 1984. He has since become a chartered financial analyst.

Outside of his immediate professional responsibilities, Mr. Mill is an active member of the Denver Society of Security Analysts and the Colorado Mountain Club. The highlight of his career was during his time at NASA, working in NASA's Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR) as a Guidance Officer. He was "Guidance" for Apollo missions 10, 11, 13, 14, 17 and Skylab. He also served as "AGC" (Apollo Guidance Computer) in the Staff Support Room across the hall from the MOCR for Apollo missions 12, 14, 15, 16 and the Apollo Soyuz Test Project in 1975. Although initially fascinated in space and the space program, human exploration of the moon had lessened during his employment and he continued his career to Martin Marietta, where he served for five years. His time at Martin Marietta led him to finance courses in the name of improving himself.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Mr. Mill has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
