Prior to becoming an esteemed professional, Ms. Towne earned an associate's degree in advertising and design production at the State University of New York at Potsdam. She subsequently completed coursework at Mohawk Valley Community College. Ms. Towne's artwork has been exhibited in Kinney Drugs, the Newton Falls Paper Mill, the Frederic Remington Art Museum, the EJ Noble Hospital and the Gouvernour Public Library.

In light of his many achievements in the field, Ms. Towne has accepted a number of awards and accolades throughout her career. She was notably presented with the Gertrude Folgeson Award from the Waldorf Astoria, the Western New York Art Award from Scholastic Inc., the Adirondack Regional Art Show Award, the North Country Juried Artists Show Award and the 2014 Forestry Communications Award from the New York Society of American Foresters. Likewise, Ms. Towne has been featured in several editions of Who's Who of American Women.
