An accomplished listee, Br. Cox celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. With more than 70 years of experience in art and 58 years in education, Br. Cox has become an authority in his industry and served as the director of the Lasallian International Center for Arts and Culture in Florence, Italy until its closing in the Fall of 2018. Previously, he served the De La Salle Institute as a teacher from 1960 to 1970 and an administrator from 1967 to 1969. Br. Cox excelled as an instructor in the European Studies Program at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in Winona from 1986 to 1989 and an artist-educator for a work-study program in Florence from 1973 to 2018. He became a teacher at the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns in Barillas, Guatemala, for three summers (1964-1967) and a consultant for the art department at Lewis University from 1974 to 1975.

Prior to becoming an esteemed educator, Br. Cox pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from St. Mary's University of Minnesota in 1960. He received a Master of Science in art education from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1968, a Master of Arts in school administration from DePaul University in 1969 and a Master of Fine Arts in sculpture from Villa Schifanoia Graduate School of Fine Arts, Florence, Italy, which was part of Rosary College, Chicago, IL. in 1972. It is now Dominican University. Br. Cox is a certified K-12 teacher and supervisor in the state of Illinois.

Br. Cox has created more than 650 sculptures and over 2,000 designs for pendants, rings, chains, letter openers and chalices. His work has been represented in numerous public and private collections in several prominent galleries and institutions, including the Collections of Contemporary Art at the Vatican Museum and the All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Des Plaines, IL. Br. Cox's work has also been featured in the Bellini Idea Gallery, the Jimmy Eriksson Gallery and the Genesis Gallery. For 38 years, he traveled 8,000 to 10,000 miles by car/van around the United States having home shows of his art work. The money from these sales and commissions paid for the work/study program in Florence, Italy. His student assistants paid no tuition or board and room.

Outside of his primary professional responsibilities, Br. Cox remains informed of the changes and advancements in his industry through relevant organizations. He is a member of the International Sculpture Center, the National Wood Carvers Association, the Sculpture Society of Ireland, the Minnesota Sculptors Society, and Sigma Delta Pi. In his free time, Br. Cox enjoys photography, traveling, choral music and studying theology, philosophy, history, mysticism, medicine and current events. Br. Cox received first prize at a Figure Modeling Contest at Washington University in St. Louis in 1966. In light of his many accomplishments in the field, he has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in the World.
