An alumnus of the University of California Los Angeles, Ms. Moon received a Bachelor of Arts in speech communications in 1955. In the proceeding decades, she subsequently acquired a Master of Arts in educational administration at San Diego State University in 1985. Ms. Moon is a licensed teacher and is certified in administration and supervision in the state of California.
Ms. Moon has been an active member of the American Society for Training and Development and the National Speakers Association. She is also a member of the honorable society of Phi Beta Kappa. During her years as an educator, Ms. Moon served on the continuing education faculties at the University of California in San Diego and National University. She was also active as a director of the League of Women Voters in San Diego.
Ms. Moon was recognized in 1980 as San Diego County Teacher of the Year and was runner up for California Teacher of the Year. She also received an Outstanding Contribution Award from the California Association of Directors of Activities. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Moon has been featured in over a dozen editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education and Who's Who of American Women.
