Prior to joining Goulston & Storrs, Ms. Dwyer was managing partner at the D.C. office of Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw & Pittman. She also worked for Wilkes Artis in D.C., where she became the first female zoning attorney in the city. A recognized real estate powerhouse with leading edge corporate, capital markets and finance, litigation, private client and trust, and tax practices, Goulston & Storrs has additional offices in Boston and New York City.

A proven leader in the industry, Ms. Dwyer boasts significant experience in negotiating public-private partnerships and has built a solid reputation with the growth and development of the D.C. community. She has also been successful in creating a niche practice representing various universities, including at Georgetown University, American University, George Washington University and Trinity University, which has been a career highlight.

Fortunate to have been able to mentor numerous female attorneys throughout her tenure, Ms. Dwyer has also served on various committees with several firms promoting women and diversity and mentoring young women. Further, she has lent her expertise to her local community as chairman of the Eugene and Agnes Meyer Foundation and as chairman of The Salvation Army's advisory board. Ms. Dwyer has been affiliated as a member and past president of the Commercial Real Estate Women Network. She is a member of the Federal City Council, the D.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Urban Land Institute and several other professional organizations as well.

An alumnus of Smith College, Ms. Dwyer received a Bachelor of Arts in urban studies in 1973. She later completed a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Catholic University of America in 1978. While pursuing her juris doctorate, she worked as a paralegal for a New York City firm that specialized in contract litigation. Ms. Dwyer has since been admitted to the D.C. Bar Association, the D.C. Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court of D.C., and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Named one of 100 Most Powerful Women in Washington by the Washingtonian Magazine in 2001, Ms. Dwyer has also been recognized by Chambers USA for her work in zoning and commercial real estate and for her efforts with the D.C. government.
