Dr. Robert Resnik Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Reproductive Medicine

Dr. Resnik parlays four and a half decades of knowledge to his students at the University of California San Diego

    SOLANA BEACH, CA, October 10, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert Resnik has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With 45 years of practiced experience under his belt, Dr. Resnik parlays his considerable expertise in reproductive medicine to students at the University of California San Diego. Since beginning his tenure with the aforementioned university in 1974, he has served in a number of positions, including an assistant professor, an associate professor, professor and a department chair, the dean of clinical affairs and the dean of admissions. Over the years, he has also consulted for the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute through the National Institutes of Health and served as a member of the ObGyn residency review committees of the Council on Residency Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Washington, D.C. Following residency, Dr. Resnik completed service in the U.S. Army for two years, retiring at the rank of major in 1972.

Certified in general and maternal-fetal medicine through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Resnik has earned a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1960 and a Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University in 1965. Subsequently, he completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Yale University School of Medicine. He has served as President of the Perinatal Research Society, the American Gynecological Club, and the American Gynecologic and Obstetrical Society. He has also been elected a fellow ad eundem to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Resnik has co-authored several works in the field, including multiple editions of "Maternal-Fetal Medicine: Principles and Practice" and "Medical Counseling Before Pregnancy." Due to his outstanding achievements in medicine, he has been honored many times, having been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare. Looking toward the future, Dr. Resnik intends to continue teaching on a voluntary basis.
