Al Lamanda Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Literature

    RAYMOND, ME, October 14, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Al Lamanda has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. A prolific novelist, Mr. Lamanda has found much success as a self-employed author and screenwriter since 2004. He previously worked as a private investigator in the state of New York and Florida between 1980 and 2004. During this time, Mr. Lamanda worked concurrently in loss prevention prior to dedicating himself to writing full time.

A skilled mystery novelist, Mr. Lamanda has written extensively for his own series known as "Assassin's Creed," which follows the exploits of Kelly, a hitman in the employ of a shadowy cabal which dispenses justice to criminals of the most despicable variety. To date, he has authored such lauded publications as "The Ruling Class," "Adjudicated," "Revenant," and "Lazarus" in this universe of novels. Mr. Lamanda's other mystery novels include "Sunrise," which won the Best Crime Novel Award in 2013 from the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, and "First Light," which was nominated for a Nero Award.

Furthermore, Mr. Lamanda penned "Sunset" and "This Side of Midnight," which were nominated for an Edgar Award and a Nero Award, respectively. Moreover, he is the author of the 2017 Nero Award winner for best mystery of the year and Shamus Award-nominated book "With Six You Get Wally." Additional tales of suspense and intrigue to Mr. Lamanda's credit included "Who Killed Joe Italiano?" "Once Upon a Time in Puerto Rico," "The Theory of Everything," "Jack," "Checkmate," and "Shades of Gotham," among others.

Likewise, Mr. Lamanda was the scribe of a number of Westerns under the pseudonym of Ethan J. Wolfe, such as "The Cattle Drive," "The Devil's Waltz," "Comanche Sunrise," "The Reckoning," "One if by Land," and "The Last Ride," to name a few. He was also prolific as a screenwriter, responsible for such screenplays as "Two: A Horror Story," and "American Violence." To remain aware of developments among his fellow writers and draw inspiration, Mr. Lamanda remains a strident member of the Mystery Writers of America.
