Dr. Barbara Fleischer is licensed in industrial and organizational psychology in the state of Louisiana.

An accomplished listee, Dr. Fleischer celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Dr. Fleischer is an organizational psychologist, consultant and researcher who is also an associate professor emerita of pastoral studies at the Loyola University Institute for Ministry in the College of Nursing and Health. Within the institute, she coordinated the focus areas in marketplace ministry, small Christian communities, Hispanic ministry, pastoral care and the master of pastoral studies dual degree program with the M.S. in Counseling. As emeritus faculty, Dr. Fleischer continues to teach part-time. During her tenure, she also served as director. Some of the courses she has taught have included Introduction to Practical Theology, Pastoral Leadership and Organization, Parish Life and Ministry, Contemporary Issues in Pastoral Ministry and Inner Life of Small Christian Communities.

Prior to teaching, Dr. Fleischer worked in the field as a psychologist for the Wellness Institute in New Orleans, director of training for the Associated Catholic Charities, also in New Orleans, and as an organizational consultant for South Mississippi Home Health in Hattiesburg. She has also served in numerous capacities for several other organizations dating back to 1974, and she has continued to serve as a consultant in the New Orleans area since 1980.

The author of the book, Facilitating for Growth, Dr. Fleischer has also contributed numerous articles to journals in her areas of expertise. She has been a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Association of Training Directors, National Association of Lay Ministry, Association of Professors and Researchers of Religious Education, and the Religious Education Association.

During her career, Dr. Fleischer was honored to be involved in the development and expansion of the Loyola Institute for Ministry Extension program of Loyola University New Orleans. The program, a first of its kind, provided accredited graduate education to people at various sites in the U.S. as well as in Scotland, England, Switzerland, Canada, and Belize. The program has more recently evolved into an all online program reaching adult learners in six continents.

Dr. Fleischer co-authored grants for the programs in which she worked and received funding from the National Retired Teachers Association-American Association of Retired Persons Andrus Foundation, the German Protestant Orphan Asylum, Lilly Foundation, and Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. She has been cited in approximately a dozen editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who of American Women and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. Dr. Fleischer has notably held a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, since 1970, Master of Science since 1975, and Doctor of Philosophy since 1978, all through St. Louis University. She also holds a Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans since 1990. She is licensed in industrial and organizational psychology in the state of Louisiana.
