David Bolden Graham Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

A recognized figure in his community, Mr. David Bolden Graham was honored to have the mid-continent highway I-69 bridge named after him.

An accomplished listee, Mr. Graham celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Retired food products executive Mr. Graham worked for close to four successful decades in his field. Following the entrepreneurial spirit of his father, who was a both a business owner and industrialist in his time, Mr. Graham and his brothers pursued a business opportunity with each other in 1950. Establishing Graham Cheese Corporation, Graham Farms, Inc., and Graham Brothers, Inc., in Washington, Indiana, and serving as the chairman and secretary, they made and sold cheese for Kraft Foods. They also grew turkey for the Armour Company and flour for the Girl Scouts cookies.

Providing his expertise to other organizations over the years, Mr. Graham is a former chairman of the Peoples National Bank and former director of the Community National Bank and the German American Bank. Locally, he served on various boards, including as the president of the Washington Planning Commission and the National Turkey Federation. Mr. Graham also served as the director of the Independent Regional Highway Coalition and the director of the Mid-Continent Highway Coalition.

On retirement, Mr. Graham published many articles on the topics of agriculture, transportation and early fur traders. He also authored several books, recently including "Showdown at the Grotto" in 2013 and "Terrorists in Cuba: Featuring Gazda: Presidential Trouble Shooter" and "Terrorists on the Chesapeake: Featuring Gazda, Presidential Troubleshooter" in 2018. Mr. Graham has also since published a handful of children's books such as "Taco Tales" in 2012 and "Jesus, A Boy of Nazareth" in 2016.

A student at the Colegio de san Bartolome in Bogota, Colombia, during 1946, Mr. Graham later acquired a Bachelor of Science at Georgetown University in 1949. He notably served in the U.S. Air Force in the 445th Bomb Squadron and the Aide-de-Camp of the General, 813 Air Division and was additionally a U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel reservist. He is a member of several professional organizations such as the Society of Children's Book Writers and the Florida Writers Association. Mr. Graham is also an honorary member, a past president, and a Paul Harris fellow of his local Rotary. Further, he remains active with several avocational organizations, including the Columbia Club, the Atlantic Cruising Club, and the Inland Yacht Club and is a life member of the North America Fishing Club.
