Renowned as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. El Deeb is a practicing physician who is also a celebrated professor emeritus at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in the division of oral and maxillofacial surgery. During his tenure, he was the director of the dental implant program and the director of research within the department. Affiliated with numerous hospitals and clinics throughout his career, including Fairview University Hospital, North Memorial Hospital, Abbot Northwest Hospital and the Cook Clinic, Dr. El Deeb later served as an international consultant for World Hospital in Cairo, Egypt between 2014 and 2016.

Dr. El Deeb continues to help patients as the owner and the founder of Minnesota oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and Northside Minnesota Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. His practice serves the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and the communities of Hennepin County and Anoka County. There, he offers a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom teeth removal.

Writing extensively in his field, Dr. El Deeb has contributed more than 100 publications, including scientific papers, abstracts and chapters to textbooks. He has participated on the editorial board of the Cleft Palate Journal and the Saudi Medical Journal. In addition to his writing efforts, Dr. El Deeb has lectured in more than 13 countries on topics related to oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. El Deeb received his dental degree at Cairo School of Dentistry, where he ranked in the top two percent of his class in 1972. He later received his Master of Science degree in the U.S. at the University of Minnesota in the School of Dentistry in 1979 before completing a residency training program on the campus' division of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. El Deeb is a diplomat of the American Society of Osseointegration and the International College of Oral Implantologists and is licensed to practice medicine in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and his home country of Egypt.

To give back to his community, Dr. El Deeb has found success as an instructor and a trainer of basic and advanced cardiac life support by the American Heart Association in Minneapolis since 1981. He has been appointed, and served as the director of the Union Gospel Mission Dental Clinic in Saint Paul, Minnesota, from 1982 to 1996; the clinic treats the needy for free. He twice obtained the Union Gospel Mission service award. A lifetime fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, he is also a fellow of several other professional organizations, including the American Association of Hospital Dentists, the International College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International college of dentist, and the American College of Dentists. A member of numerous other industry related organizations, Dr. El Deeb is a past president of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Midwest Section and Served on the board of directors of the American Cleft Palate and Crainofacial Association, and Foundation, and served as the vice president of the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Deformities Association. He chaired the ACPA Association national meeting at Hilton head South Carolina in 1991.

While in Egypt, Dr. El Deeb practiced judo, ranking second in light-heavyweight at the National High School Tournament in 1967. He also ranked second in equestrian jumping. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. El Deeb has been featured in Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
