With more than 38 years of professional experience, Mr. Wallace retired in 2010 as a plans and programs engineer in the Systems Engineering Policy Branch in Headquarters Air Force Material Command. He was responsible for the management, development, coordination, and issuance of systems engineering policies. Prior to his retirement, he was a human research engineer at the directorate of engineering and technology management for the institution from 1998 to 2010, having been a logistics management specialist at the inventory management division since 1997. Mr. Wallace previously flourished as the director of education and flight training with the 88th mission support group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from 1996 to 1997.

Mr. Wallace served as the chief of operations at the education and training office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from 1995 to 1996, having garnered a laudable reputation as the chief of the mission requirements unit for the 88th mission support group since 1991 and a program manager for Air Force Logistics Commissioned since 1986. Antecedently, he was also a logistics management specialist with military airlift commissioned at Scott Air Force Base from 1984 to 1986 and an engineering work leader with Air Force Logistics Command from 1981 to 1984. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wallace was a project engineer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base between 1978 and 1981 and with the Naval Air Systems Command from 1972 until 1978.

Mr. Wallace first pursued an education with West Virginia University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering in 1970. He continued his studies with the school, earning a Master of Science in industrial engineering in 1973. Mr. Wallace is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wallace has been recognized for his contributions. The recipient of the Department of the Air Force Outstanding Civilian Career Service Medal, he was also given the Department of the Air Force Civilian Achievement Medal. Mr. Wallace has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the Midwest, and Who's Who in the World.
