Mr. Bruce Bailey is renowned as a retired financial services executive with more than 40 years of excellence in his industry.

Mr. Bailey is a retired financial services executive with more than 40 years of excellence in his industry. He initially pursued an education at Denison University on a scholarship, graduating in 1958 with a Bachelor of Arts in history and economics. He subsequently served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1962.

From 1958 to 1964, Mr. Bailey worked as a management trainee, from there he was promoted to assistant cashier in 1964 and then to branch manager in 1966. In 1969, he became vice president before moving on to president of Farmers Savings and Trust in Mansfield, OH. From there, Mr. Bailey became the vice president of branch administration in Columbus, OH, president of Bank One in Ravenna, OH, president of Bank One in Akron, OH, vice chairman of Bank One in Indiana and president of Bank One in West Virginia before his retirement in 2001. He is proud to have belonged to a very creative growth and profit oriented Bank holding company.

Mr. Bailey taught banking at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, from 1970 to 1976. He also attended management schools at Harvard University and Columbia University and worked with the American Institute of Banking as an instructor.

Over the years, Mr. Bailey was the chairman or president of 35 civic, educational, health or charitable endeavors in addition to his career assignments. Some of those include being the vice president of the executive board for the Great Trail of the Boys Scouts of America, chairman of the United Way Campaign twice, treasurer and trustee for the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation and area president of the Boys Scouts of America, to name a few. For his efforts, Mr. Bailey has received numerous accolades, including but not limited to the A.Z. Baker Outstanding Service Award from Rotary, a Distinguished Service Award from the Mansfield Area Jaycees, a Community Leadership Award from Akron, Ohio and the Silver Antelope Award from the Boys Scouts of America.
