He has notably earned a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California in 1981, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Washington College of Law at American University in 1985. Mr. Segal had excelled as a partner at the firm Selman Breitman, LLP, of Los Angeles, where he remained active for the duration of his legal career.

Plagued by doubts about his path for many years, a cancer diagnosis finally forced him to take action. It was during the time Mr. Segal was undertaking a course of natural, alternative healing, that he decided to open Mystic Journey Bookstore so that others could be served by a hub for spiritual learning and discovery. In addition to establishing the bookstore, Mr. Segal later founded Mystic Journey Crystals in 2017.
Mr. Segal's motto is "KRE8IT," and he is guided by the desire to manifest something authentic while helping others reach the same level of fulfillment he has discovered. He attributes his success to his spiritual training, coupled with his genuine care for all beings. Looking toward the future, Mr. Segal hopes to expand his reach by opening more locations in the coming years.
