A seasoned educational administrator with years of experience in data analysis and strategy development, Mr. Sondey is currently the director of graduate admissions for Manhattanville College. In addition to reporting directly to the vice president of enrollment management and collaborating with the associate dean of the School of Professional Studies and the Dean of Nursing to build their respective programs, he excels as a liaison with the associate vice president of marketing, as well as marketing vendors to create a digital media presence. Since obtaining the position in 2019, Mr. Sondey has supervised nontraditional graduate and undergraduate admission and recruitment programs for The School of Professional Studies, the Master of Fine Arts in writing program and the APPEAL program, which is dedicated to continuing adult education.
Prior to joining Manhattanville College, Mr. Sondey worked as the director of admissions for the College of New Rochelle between 2017 and 2019 and as a part-time men's basketball coach for Concordia College from 2010 until 2018. Additionally, he has served Concordia College as the director of first year admissions and a volunteer men's basketball coach. Throughout his years in educational administration, he increased student enrollment for the College of New Rochelle and Concordia College, where he was also appointed to promote the college through radio shows and public speaking events. In the early years of his career, Mr. Sondey served Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a branch assistant manager and a branch manager.
In 2005, Mr. Sondey earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications, public relations and marketing from New England College. Subsequently, he graduated with a Master of Science in business leadership from Concordia College in 2016. He retains his professional alignment with the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities in New York and the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling. A steadfast community advocate, he was presented with the Christus Victor Award for Excellence in Community Service from Concordia College in 2014. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sondey aims to secure a vice presidential role within a college or university.
