Master Y.J. Kim is a 7th Dan Black Belt, Certified Taekwondo Master and School Owner. He majored in taekwondo at Dankook University and received his bachelor's in Sports Science. Master Y.J. Kim is very active and involved in the taekwondo community. He has contributed to his community in many ways. Every year he participates in national and local parades. He was a former technical committee chairman for The Korea Taekwondo Association in the USA. He is the Executive Director of The Home of International Taekwondo. Regional Manager for USA at WRT. He is also the President of The Washington DC Taekwondo Association as well as the President of The Washington DC Ssireum Wrestling Association. Due to his outstanding expertise in martial arts he has won both gold and silver medals for competing in championships as well as been a coach for the Korea National Team at both the Asia and World TKD Championships. He is also a certified referee/umpire for Taekwondo Tournaments. Many others have recognized his expertise in Taekwondo and he has been honored with many certificates of appreciation for his hard work and dedication to the sport. He has received two Presidential Awards for his contributions. He has also received Certificates of Commendation from both The TKD Association in USA and Kukkiwon. He was also presented with an Award Certificate of Special Citation from Home of International Taekwondo. These are all very honorable and humbling awards and recognitions with in the taekwondo community.
