H. Dyke Spear Celebrated for Dedication to the Fields of Law and Musical Production

As a producer and a promoter of numerous show business attractions, Attorney Spear embarked upon a 50-year long career in concert production and promotion as well as, nationally touring Broadway shows. Now retired in this capacity, he worked with famous artists throughout his career, including Ray Charles, The Righteous Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel, and others. Throughout North America, Attorney Spear toured such Broadway shows as "Hair," "My Fair Lady," "Grease," "A Chorus Line," and fifteen other productions in over 300 cities.

His 1977-1978 130-city tour of "Oh! Calcutta" set off a firestorm controversy causing him to enter into civil and criminal litigation in 29 cities. He never lost a case and the warrants for his arrest in Atlanta, GA, and Fort Smith, AK, were subsequently voided.

Additionally, Attorney Spear pursued a career in law following in his Uncle, Henry A. Frye's distinguished footsteps as a Philadelphia lawyer. Since 1961, he has excelled as an attorney and owner of the Connecticut Law Offices of H. Dyke N. Spear, Jr., where he specializes in family law including divorce, child support, alimony and property distribution. Several of his cases have generated significant media coverage. Utilizing his legal expertise, Attorney Spear has presented, as a hobby, more than 70 lectures about his knowledge of UFO phenomenon, entitled "A Lawyer Evaluates the UFO Evidence."

Before beginning his law and business career, Attorney Spear earned a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College in 1957 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut in 1960. Upon graduating, he was admitted to practice law in Connecticut. In his spare time, Attorney Spear taught business law at Greater Hartford Community College and Manchester Community College. He also made a legal presentation at the National CLE in Vail, Colorado.

For his notable accomplishments in all of his careers, Attorney Spear was featured in several volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in the World. He has found further success as President of the Woodridge Lake Association and President of the Trinity College Club of Hartford.
