Qunnie Lin has appreciated the importance of hard work from a very young age. Growing up in China, her family had very few resources, so her mother moved to the United States to build a new, more affluent life. Ms. Lin followed her mother at the age of 12, and attended middle school in New York City while her mother worked long hours in a factory and her father worked in a Chinese restaurant. Her family was very intrepid, and her parents were extremely supportive of her, as they held her accountable for all of her decisions while helping her and her brother save money for college.
A natural acuity for finance led Ms. Lin to pursue a Bachelor of Science at the University at Buffalo, a part of the State University of New York system, in 2011. During her final year at this university, she also completed an internship at Northwestern Mutual Investment Services, LLC, where she found her passion for financial planning. Following her graduation, she accepted a role at the aforementioned company as a financial advisor, which she holds to this day.
In addition to her degree, Ms. Lin obtained a Series 6-63 certification and is certification as a financial planner. Her contributions to the field of finance have been honored with the Women of Wall Street Award in 2019, and she achieved the distinction of being the Top Advisor for New Clients in 2019 as well. In 2014, she was a qualifying member for the Million Dollar Round Table, The Premier Association of Financial Professionals.
Ms. Lin is deeply intrigued by the challenges of retirement planning, business risk management, life insurance planning, and disability income planning. She continues her research and learning in these fields in order to better assist her customers in protecting their current wealth, and strategizing for a more prosperous future. She plans to form a successful independent financial planning practice in the future.
