Dr. Lovelace is an attorney and management consultant who established both of his businesses, The Law Offices of Keith Lovelace and Management Resources International, in Houston in 1980. The Law Offices of Keith Lovelace focuses primarily on matters of employment law, consumer law and personal injury. Representing both plaintiffs and defendants for more than 30 years, Dr. Lovelace and his associates seek to provide the quality service of a large firm but with the personal attention and detail of a small firm.

Previously, Dr. Lovelace spent 20 years in the oil and electronics business, first working as a research and development engineer with Core Laboratories in Dallas. He later found success in several roles with Texas Instruments, Inc. in Dallas and Houston. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Lovelace served as the president of the Houston subsidiary of Core Laboratories between 1978 and 1980.

A longtime member and former vice chairman of the reservoir group of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Dr. Lovelace has been affiliated with the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Chemical Society. In the area of law, he maintained his membership with the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the American Association for Justice and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Additionally affiliated with the Bellaire/Southwest Houston Rotary Club, Dr. Lovelace held multiple administrative roles with the Rotary International District 5890.

Inducted to several honor societies, Dr. Lovelace has been involved with the Greater Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce for many years, holding the posts of the director and the chairman during the organization's 50th anniversary year. He further participated on the board of directors and as the vice chairman and the chairman-elect for the aforementioned organization. Dr. Lovelace was also a member of the Houston Clean City Commission.

Dr. Lovelace holds several patents in his field. He has been further recognized as an Eastern States Petroleum and Chemical scholar, a FMC Corporation fellow and a Texas Instruments fellow. Moreover, Dr. Lovelace has been featured in several dozen editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in the South and Southwest and Who's Who in the World.

First obtaining a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin in 1958 and 1961, Dr. Lovelace then earned a Doctor of Philosophy on campus in 1973. He subsequently graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the South Texas College of Law in 1978. He has been admitted practice law by the State Bar of Texas and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts and is admitted to the United States 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, Dr. Lovelace completed service in the U.S. Army in 1953.
