OLYMPIA, WA, November 14, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Paul Steucke with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Steucke celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Paul T. Steucke's career gave him the best of both worlds. He recalls from the age of 14 that he had a love for painting and he asked his father for a set of oil paints for Christmas. With encouragement from his high school art teachers he chose to pursue a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia. At the same time he spent six years with the Virginia National Guard.

Immediately after graduation he became the Art Director for the Virginia Extension Service. In 1963 he made a career turn and became a Visual Information Specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Research Service in Washington D.C. Four years later he transferred to the U.S. Forest Service as a Public Information Officer for the 19 state Eastern Region, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He later transferred to the Forest Service headquarters as a Deputy Branch Manager.

In 1971 he took another career change, this time into writing, by becoming the Executive Secretary for the 19 member U.S. Water Resources Council in Washington DC. Four years later he once again took a career leap by moving to Anchorage, Alaska, where he became the Public Information Officer for the Joint Federal State Land Use Planning Commission. This was followed by eight years as the Alaska Public Affairs Representative for the Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline, followed by another five years as the Alaska Region Public Affairs Officer for the Federal Aviation Administration, where he became President of the Alaska chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. He was then promoted to be the Manager of the FAA Communications Division in Washington, DC. He retired after 30 years of Public Service in 1994.

Post retirement allowed Steucke to renew his art which has brought both fame and fortune. His commissioned portraits sell for $8,000 and numerous pieces have sold for up to $24,000. He is currently working on a $25,000 commissioned painting commemorating the thousandth Jewish graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (where three of his paintings hang). His work can be viewed by visiting his website at: www.paulsteucke.com. He has been accepted in numerous juried art shows and also been featured in many one man art shows.

As an author he has written and published, Burbia Boy, Burbia Man, The Artwork of Paul Steucke, and is working on a new book, The Curmudgeon Speaks. All are available via Amazon.com.

He has sung in many choirs, likes to garden and grow his orchids. He can use the outdoor grill successfully, make a great bacon/lettuce/tomato sandwich, but as he says, "I am not a cook." Fortunately his wife, who wrote a cookbook titled Annette's Cookbook (Amazon.com), saved him from starving for 58 years.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to his profession and the Marquis Who's Who community, Paul Steucke has been featured on the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement website. Please visit www.ltachievers.com for more information about this honor.
