PUNTA GORDA, FL, November 14, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donald Royston has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A respected voice in his community, Mr. Royston excelled as the president of the Vintage Motor Car Club of America from 1999 to 2018. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he authored a weekly column for the Sun Newspaper, titled "You Auto Know." Likewise, Mr. Royston was the creator of a twice-yearly held car show in Charlotte Harbor.
For his outstanding contributions to the field, Mr. Royston was presented with a Citation for Community Service by Governor William Donald Shaeffer of Maryland. Moreover, he was the recipient of a Hog Calling Trophy. The owner of 79 convertibles, Mr. Royston notably toured 44 states in the U.S., completed three European tours, and appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
Earlier in his career, Mr. Royston worked in marketing and public relations. He was also renowned for his exemplary efforts with racehorses. Looking toward the future, Mr. Royston hoped to continue enjoying his retirement while cementing his legacy as an esteemed figure in his areas of expertise. He passed away in November 2018.
