James Di Feo, Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Chief Operating Officer (COO)
In this role, he leads the activities of Liscentrum Capital and is involved in all aspects of the deal process. James is responsible for client relations on both spectrums: investors and plaintiffs/law, development of information technology systems: artificial intelligence (AI) to help underwriting accuracy and consistency as well as marketing.
James holds a B.A. (Specialized Honours) in Actuarial Science and is a Certified Risk Management (CRM) and Society of Actuaries (SOA) candidate.
James worked at an after school math and reading centre for 8 years. He was promoted to Assistant Director, and over the next 3 years, almost tripled the revenues of the business. He was involved in all aspects of business development such as budgeting, forecasting, marketing, staffing, and the oversight of operations. Furthermore, he implemented technology to promote efficiency in the operational department as well as the in-house accounting department.
Jonathan Di Feo, Founder & Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
In this role, he leads the activities of Liscentrum Capital and is involved in all aspects of the deal process and the oversight of the underwriting process. He is also responsible for portfolio management activities including operational support.
Jonathan is a Licentiate in Law from the University of Ottawa (2010-2013), J.D. from the University of Sherbrooke (2013-2014). Certificate in Chinese Civil Law from the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China (2012) and belongs to the Ontario bar.
Jonathan started his legal career as a student-at-law at a major Canadian bank, where he worked on anti-terrorism, securities, e-commerce and estates matters. He has previously worked as in-house counsel for an international publicly-traded company that produces tablets and smartphones for emerging markets, where he assisted Management with legal matters of their worldwide operations. He has also worked at a boutique firm specializing in tax and litigation.
Suhrud Shah, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
In this role, he is responsible for portfolio management activities including operational support. He is involved in all aspects of the deal process and the oversight of the underwriting process for all U.S. case originations.
He hold a B.S. in Industrial Management with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon (graduating in the top 3% of his undergraduate business school class). J.D. from the University of Chicago (1994-1997) and belongs to the Massachusetts bar.
Mr. Shah has worked as a private equity attorney in Hong Kong with Morrison & Foerster representing U.S. funds including Goldman Sachs principal investing, TPG Growth and Citi Alternatives.
Mr. Shah led private investment in public equity ("PIPE") deal evaluations of the leading low-cost airline carrier in India, an Indian generic pharmaceutical maker, and a Malaysian oil and gas services business.
He authored a detailed 70-page investment report of Masan Group, a $1+ billion portfolio company of TPG.
Dennis Kounadis, Corporate Advisor & Corporate Counsel
In this role, Dennis provides management advice to the Directors of Liscentrum Capital and is involved in all aspects of the deal process and the underwriting process. Dennis holds B.Sc. from Université McGill (1980) and LL.B, Université de Sherbrooke (1983). He belongs to the Quebec bar.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the Université de Sherbrooke in 1983, Dennis Kounadis was called to the Bar in 1984. In 1990, he established his own legal practice with a view to providing legal services to local businesses and more specifically, to entrepreneurs in the Greek community. He oversaw the growth of Kounadis Perreault into a dynamic, commercial law firm with a diverse clientele. Notwithstanding strong roots in the Hellenic Community of Montreal, Dennis Kounadis' insistence upon efficient and personalized representation has engendered a wide client base in Canada and the United States.
In addition to his expertise in franchising, licensing and real estate, he has extensive experience in banking and financing and is well versed in the areas of share and asset purchase transactions and the arbitration of commercial disputes.
