William F. Andrews was named an ODX Director of the Year by the Financial Times.

With 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Andrews was a Principal with Kohlberg and Company, LLC, from 1992 to 2015. He was Chairman of Corrections Corp of America from 2000 to 2008 and has been Chairman of seven public companies and several private companies. Mr. Andrews was the President and CEO of Massey Investment Company from 1989 to 1990. During that time he was also Chairman of Northwestern Steel and Wire Company. Additionally, he was Chairman, President & CEO of Singer Sewing Machine Co. from 1986-1989. Earlier in his career, he held a number of positions with Scovill Inc. from 1958 to 1986. He started as a salesman with Scovill and became its President, Chairman and CEO before retiring in 1986.
Mr. Andrews first pursued his education with the University of Maryland where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1953. He then joined the United States Air Force where he was a pilot and obtained the rank of Captain before leaving the service. He subsequently returned to his studies, earning a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Seton Hall University. During his time at the University of Maryland he played Varsity lacrosse.
During his business career, Mr. Andrews has served on 36 company boards and 9 charitable boards. He currently serves on the First Bank Board in Nashville, TN.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Andrews is affiliated with a number of private clubs including the Belle Meade Country Club, the Golf Club of Tennessee, and the Old Natchez Country Club in Nashville. He is a member of the Snake River Sporting Club and Shooting Star Country Club in Jackson, Wyoming. He is also a member of the Wanderers Club, the Palm Beach Polo Club and the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. He is a member of the University Club and Anglers' Club in New York and the Chicago Club in Chicago.
Throughout his career, Mr. Andrews has been recognized for his contributions. Named an ODX Director of the Year by the Financial Times, he has also received the Silver Beaver and the Long Rifle Awards from the Boy Scouts of America. He is recognized as a Significant Sig by his fraternity Sigma Chi. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Corporate America, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the Midwest, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who in the World.
