Gilbert Saenz Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    MELVINDALE, MI, December 13, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Gilbert Saenz with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Saenz celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Mr. Saenz is renowned as a retired computer programmer and analyst with more than 35 years of excellence in his field. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1963. Upon returning to civilian life, he completed coursework at Minot State Teachers College. In 1968, Mr. Saenz graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Wayne State University, where he pursued two additional years of postgraduate coursework.
From 1969 to 1970, Mr. Saenz began his career as a diplomatic courier for the United States Department of State in Washington, D.C. In 1974, he accepted a position with the Internal Revenue Service as a computer programmer and an analyst based out of the Detroit IRS Computing Center. Mr. Saenz f with the Internal Revenue Service until his retirement in 2004. Upon his retirement, Mr. Saenz received a commendation for his extended professional service to the IRS, an honor he recalls as a career highlight.

Mr. Saenz formerly excelled as the chairman of the Federal Executive Board of the Hispanic Employment Program Committee of Detroit from 1988 to 2004. In addition to his career in civil service, he is a gifted poet and the author of several volumes of collected works, including "Where Love Is" in 1988, "Poems of Life/Poemes de la Vida" in 2001, and "Spaces In Between" in 2003. He has additionally edited multiple anthologies of poetry. A member of IMAGE Detroit and the Poetry Society of Michigan, Mr. Saenz was notably presented with the World Poets Award from J Mark Press in 1999.
