An expert in the field, Dr. Leung earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alberta-Edmonton in 1968. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, he is affiliated with the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. A devoted medical professional, Dr. Leung has also contributed more than $750,000 to local charities.
In recent years, Dr. Leung and his wife made a considerable donation to the Texas Academy of Family Physicians' Foundation that would fully fund the Patrick Leung, MD, Medial Student Scholarship. Notably, this scholarship is intended to aid pre-clinical students who participate in the Texas Family Medicine Preceptorship Program during the summer after their first or second year of medical school. Looking toward the future, Dr. Leung intends to continue enjoying his well-deserved retirement and traveling the world.
