Patricia Louise Bethel Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

Ms. Patricia Louise Bethel is proud to have provided support and care to so many patients through her practice as well as education, research and management aspects of her career.

    CENTERVILLE, OH, January 13, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Patricia Louise Bethel with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Bethel celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With more than 40 years in Nursing and consulting to her credit, Ms. Bethel has become an authority in her field. Her career path began as an elementary school teacher in the Steubenville City Schools from 1970 to 1971. She went on to practice as a staff registered nurse at the Ohio Valley Hospital from 1979 to 1980 and as an associate project director at the Ohio Department of Health from 1982 to 1983. At Miami Valley and Good Samaritan Hospitals in Dayton, she worked with the education and management teams and as a project manager for information systems from 1983 to 2000. She expanded her knowledge base and practice as a Director of Nursing at Bethany Village long-term care facility.

During these years, Ms. Bethel authored nursing-based articles for Nursing Economic$, the Journal of Nursing Staff Development and The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing. Ms. Bethel ended her career in 2011 as a development officer for the College of Nursing and Health at Wright State University.

Prior to becoming an esteemed health care professional, Ms. Bethel pursued higher education. First earning a Bachelor of Arts at West Liberty University in West Virginia in 1970, she went on to obtain an associate's degree in nursing from Kent State University in Ohio in 1977. Returning to West Liberty University, she furthered her studies with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1979. She concluded her academic efforts with a Master of Science from The Ohio State University in 1981. While studying at Ohio State, Ms. Bethel was mentored by Dr. Donna Dean, who was her academic advisor.

Outside of her career, Ms. Bethel volunteers for her community and church. She has held leadership roles in the Centerville Civic Women's Club and Southminster Presbyterian Church. She manages 300 arts & crafts vendors for her city's annual Americana Festival, holds membership in the Miami Valley Water Gardening Society, and is a certified Master Gardener. Ms. Bethel served on the rating team for the Montgomery County Greater Dayton Job Training Office. In addition to her volunteerism, she remains informed through relevant organizations such as the National Association for Female Executives, the Council of Nurse Manager Affiliates and Sigma Theta Tau.

In light of her accomplishments in both her civic and professional endeavors, Ms. Bethel has previously been featured in Who's Who in American Nursing and Who's Who of American Women. The proud mother of four sons, she is also a grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
