Well-regarded in her field, Mrs. Blackwell-Calvert was featured in Wine Enthusiast's 40 Under 40 list, three-time Wine Enthusiast's Top 100 Wine Restaurants and Sauce Magazine's Best Wine List for Reeds American Table in Saint Louis for 2018. Likewise, she was selected for inclusion among Feast Magazine's Rising Stars in the same year. Mrs. Blackwell-Calvert considers the highlight of her career to be encountering a young man at a wine convention who said he earned a sommelier certification because he was inspired by her work.
Over the years, Mrs. Blackwell-Calvert has been affiliated with several professional organizations, including Les Dames d'Escoffier and Alpha Phi. Notably, she completed course work in equestrian studies and biology at William Woods University in 2004. Certified as a specialist of wine by the Society of Wine Educators, she is further certified as a sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Blackwell-Calvert aspires to obtain an Advanced Sommelier certificate and become a Master Sommelier.
