Richard K. Gilbert, PhD, Celebrated for Dedication to International Relations

Dr. Gilbert channels decades of expertise into his international development and educational work with such entities as the Royal Government of Cambodia, the American University of Health Sciences and the National Science Foundation.



    GOLETA, CA, January 17, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard K. Gilbert, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Earlier in his career, Dr. Gilbert gained valuable expertise in varying fields through teaching positions with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the American International School of Johannesburg, consulting positions with The World Bank Group and various other national and international agencies, and research roles through Akela Corporation, the Marine Science Institute at the University of California Santa Barbara and the Catalina Island Marine Institute at Guided Discoveries, Inc. In a career as long and notable as Dr. Gilbert's, it is difficult to pick one highlight which stands out among the rest. However, he is especially proud of consulting on human resources and technology development projects in more than 40 countries, receiving research and development grants of a value of nearly two billion, and assisting with projects concerning higher education, healthcare and research reform in Cambodia.

Dr. Gilbert's lifetime of professional accomplishments stem from his stellar education through the University of California Santa Barbara, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts, as well as the University of Southern California, through which he received a Doctor of Philosophy in 1997. In order to remain aware of developments in the field, he retains his professional alignment with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Educational Research Association, the Comparative and International Education Society, the New York Academy of Sciences and many more. A devoted philanthropist, Dr. Gilbert contributes through his affiliation with the American National Red Cross, the International Red Cross Geneva Conventions and rural development, health delivery and education projects in Vietnam, Cambodia and Lao People's Democratic Republic.

With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Gilbert has authored several works in the field of international relations, including "Role of Community-Based Integrated Sustainable Development," "Role of Research in Applied Economics," "Clinical Research Ethics," "International Cooperation and Development," "Intelligence: Value-Added Information CIES," "New Trends in Mathematics Development and Assessment," "Value of Education and Experience," and "The Value of Education in the Republic of South Africa" to name only a few. For his laudable accomplishments, he has been recognized numerous times over the breadth of his career, earning the Outstanding Mentor of Published and Presented Research Award through the National Science Foundation, the World Medal of Freedom, the Outstanding Research Award through the University of Phoenix, an honorary Board of Educators Award through The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists and a Distinguished Science Service Award for Molecular Biophysics Symbiosis in Cambridge, England. Since 2018, he has been one of seven National Science Advisory board members for United States for Science Development. Industry publications such as Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Science and Engineering and Who's Who in American Education have also recognized him for his professional efforts.
