Linda Ledbetter, PhD, has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Dr. Ledbetter celebrates more than 25 years of professional excellence



Supported by decades of professional excellence, Dr. Ledbetter has found much success as an elected councilwoman for the city of Cumming.

    CUMMING, GA, January 17, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda Ledbetter, PhD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Supported by decades of professional excellence, Dr. Ledbetter has found much success as an elected councilwoman for the city of Cumming. Engaged with her community, she has excelled as the executive director at Age Well Forsyth since 2012, council since 2014,, a board member of the Downtown Authority Board and a performer with the Dazzling Dames. Serving as a Forsyth county commissioner in 2004 and 2008, she has previously contributed as a board member to Keep Forsyth Beautiful, the North Georgia Mountain Community, the Sawnee Association of the Arts and Leadership Forsyth and Leadership Georgia. Notably, Dr. Ledbetter worked as a teacher at Forsyth Central High School and a college professor for more than 25 years.

Prior to beginning her career, Dr. Ledbetter pursued an education at the University of Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She continued her academic efforts at the University of North Georgia, graduating with a Master of Arts. She later obtained an Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University and a Doctor of Philosophy in higher education and administration from Capella University. Additionally, Dr. Ledbetter is licensed in real estate.

As a testament of her exceptional achievements in the field of education, Dr. Ledbetter was recognized as the Teacher of the Year in 2000. She was previously honored as Miss Cherokee County in 1966 and Mrs. Senior Georgia in 2009.

Amongst her many accomplishments, she authored "Patrick the Green Ghost" in 2015 and "Growing Up in Ducktown" in 2016. Looking toward the future, Dr. Ledbetter hopes to finish writing her next book.
