Bonita Lahey has 35 years of experience assisting companies through innovative business advisory services/strategic planning, B2B and technical marketing alignment, product/service development, and business process review/refinement.
She initially pursued an education at The Colorado College with the intent to study history but quickly fell in love with deep time, geology. After graduation, she continued her studies in a joint Colorado School of Mines/University of Colorado program earning a Master of Science degree in Geology. Ms. Lahey concluded her academic efforts obtaining an MBA from the University of Denver in 1977.
From 1977 to 1995, Ms. Lahey flourished as an executive at US WEST (formerly Mountain Bell). She subsequently worked developing Sempra Energy from 1995 to 2997, and was the Assistant General Manager of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power from 1997 to 1999. From 2000-2002, she served at the Chief Operating Officer/Managing Director for North American and Chief Marketing Officer for the CH2MHill Communications Group. Ms. Lahey found success as the President of B L Lahey Consulting, Inc. from 2001 to 2012.
She has served on many non-profit boards over the years, notably the Mile High Chapter of the American Red Cross (as Vice Chair) and the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund as well as several arts groups. Going back to her education, Ms. Lahey has been a participant in primary research as a research associate at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science resulting in her name on published papers. She received a Service award from the Denver Museum for her efforts. She was also named Person of the Year in 2017 by the Inter-neighborhood Cooperation Group covering the neighborhoods in the City and County of Denver. She is currently also a Tour Guide at Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison, Colorado.
