Dr. Arthur D. Delagrange holds nine patents in his field and is the recipient of a Superior Civilian Service Award from the U.S. Navy for his contributions to the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Having accrued more than 35 years of excellence in his field, Dr. Delagrange is a retired electrical engineer and consultant. Inspired by his father, also an electrical engineer, the younger man attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in 1962. Dr. Delagrange was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Maryland in 1974 and considers earning his doctorate to be the highlight of his career.

From 1959 until 1993, Dr. Delagrange found success as an electronics engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Silver Spring. He continued his career as the principal engineer at the Advanced Technology and Research Corporation in Burtonsville in 1993 and remained on a part-time basis through 1995. Dr. Delagrange continues to practice as an independent consultant in his field.

Dr. Delagrange has contributed numerous articles to professional journals and has written several book chapters. He holds nine patents in his field and is the recipient of a Superior Civilian Service Award from the U.S. Navy for his contributions to the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Dr. Delagrange is an active member of his faith community and a former senior warden of the Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church of Sykesville. In his leisure time, he is an avid automotive and rail enthusiast.
