Ms. Meyer has distinguished herself as a certified public accountant whose full-service private practice offers a broad range of services for small business owners and independent professionals, as well as individuals. Established in 2007 after contributing for five years as an accountant for Bonner, Bolton, Sullivan and Taylor, LLP, some of her services include tax preparation, QuickBooks management and payroll. Prior to working in accounting, Ms. Meyer excelled as a computer operator at Citizens National Bank in Crockett, and Moody National Bank in Galveston. She has also worked as a bank teller and computer operator at Plains National Bank in Lubbock. Ms. Meyer always enjoyed working with numbers, but after several years of working in banks, she decided to finish school and pursue a degree in accounting.
Instrumental in her community, Ms. Meyer was active as the treasurer of the East Texas Tres Dias in Grapeland between 2004 and 2009. She served in the same capacity for Grace Bible Church in Grapeland and the Christian Women Club in Crockett. To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. Meyer remains an active member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Meyer received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, computer science and mathematics from the University of Texas at Tyler, with summa cum laude honors, in 1994. She became a certified public accountant through the Texas State Board of Accountancy in 2003. Ms. Meyer was named a Rookie of the Year by Houston County Career Women in 1999.
