An accomplished listee, Dr. Breazeale celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Having accrued more than 50 years of excellence as a performer, choreographer, producer and director, and as a teacher of the arts, Dr. Breazeale retired from her 18-year position as professor and chairperson of the department of dance at Towson University (TU) in 1990. She likewise found success for five years as the associate dean of the university's college of fine arts and communication. In 1995 she was appointed to the position of executive director of the World Music Congresses at TU. During her tenure, she notably produced and directed the 1997 World Cello Congress II in Saint Petersburg, Russia, the 2000 World Cello Congress III, and in 2004, The First World Guitar Congress at Towson University and the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, MD. In 2005, Dr. Breazeale retired from her 33-year tenure at Towson University. Additionally, prior to her arrival at TU, Dr. Breazeale held dance teaching appointments at Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, The Juilliard School, Queens College and the Peabody Institute.

Reaching international recognition, Dr. Breazeale's work has seen her travel to over 15 foreign countries during her career, undertaking residencies with the Royal Danish Ballet and founding the Towson University and Saint Petersburg Conservatory Russian exchange program in dance and music, which began in 1989. Other career highlights included serving as a consultant to the Maryland State Arts Council in Baltimore from 1972 to 1980 and as a member of the Baltimore Mayor's Advisory Committee on Art and Culture from 1988 until 1994. Furthermore, Dr. Breazeale has been a contributor to various arts magazines and newspapers, including Fine Arts Magazine, Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher Now, Vestnik, Museums of Russia and The Baltimore Sun.

Contributing to her community through the arts, Dr. Breazeale was a volunteer for the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Jewish Museum of Maryland. Throughout her career, Dr. Breazeale has been a member of the National Association of Schools of Dance, the American Association of University Administrators and the Baltimore Symphony Associates. She is also a Governing Member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

At the age of 10, Dr. Breazeale began taking dance lessons at the Peabody Institute. At 15, she had the opportunity to study ballet with Antony Tudor, an eminent English ballet choreographer, teacher and dancer. Becoming fully invested in the arts, she proceeded to study at The Juilliard School in New York City where she received a Bachelor of Science/Master of Science degree in dance. Dr. Breazeale subsequently received a Master of Arts degree in dance education at Columbia University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in dance education at the Union Institute and University.

In 2017, Dr. Breazeale was the recipient of a Living Legacy Award by the Maryland Dance Education Association. She previously received two Towson University Merit Awards and a Maryland Council for Dance Award for Outstanding Service to Dance in the State of Maryland. A celebrated Marquis listee, Dr. Breazeale has been included in the 56th through 58th editions of Who's Who in America, as well as the 23rd edition of Who's Who of American Women.
