Ms. Harrison-McClafferty is a member of the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, and the Location Managers Guild International. She names the building of a company from nothing and turning it into a multi-million endeavor as the highlight of her career. Ms. Harrison-McClafferty's advice to other members of the film and entertainment industry looking to start their own business is to find a niche and work hard.
Ms. Harrison-McClafferty became involved in her profession because she had several family members in the film business and recalls them discussing the need for a quality location service. She thought it sounded fascinating and believed she could provide just that kind of service. She eventually focused on television, commercials and feature films, due to the increased demand for filming locations. Aside from her career responsibilities, Ms. Harrison-McClafferty enjoys such avocations as yoga, golfing and traveling.
