Ms. Wagner is the Vice Chairman Emerita of Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. With more than 50 years of expertise in emerging global markets, she is responsible for beginning expansion into the Russian market in 1989 and the Chinese market in 1992, building some of the company's largest international markets. Ms. Wagner attended Northwestern University, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science, and is a graduate of Harvard University's Advanced Management Program.

Prior to her career with Estée Lauder, Ms. Wagner found success in international publishing with The Hearst Corporation. She worked as the Editor-in-Chief of all international editions as well as Director of New Ventures. She was the first female Senior Editor of the Saturday Evening Post and an Editor at the Chicago Daily News. She joined the Estée Lauder Companies in 1975 as the Vice President, Director of Marketing in the International Division. She was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President in 1982, reporting directly to Leonard Lauder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In this role she worked with Mr. Lauder to develop the strategic plans for the Lauder companies. In 1986 she was named President, Chief Executive Officer of the International Division.

Under Ms. Wagner's leadership, Estée Lauder's International Division grew by more than 200% in revenue and 250% in profitability. She is responsible for the sales and marketing of multiple brands under the Estee Lauder umbrella, and has expanded marketing into more than 100 countries. In 1998, Ms. Wagner was named the first Vice Chairman of The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc.

Ms. Wagner served three terms of a Presidential appointment to the Advisory Committee on Trade Policy and Negotiations and was the U.S. Chair of Group III (WTO Negotiations) of the Trans Atlantic Business Dialogue for 2000-2001. She retired from The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. January 2002. Mrs. Wagner is an active worker on improving Public School education in New York. She served as Secretary of the Board of the Fund for Public Schools through Mayor Bloomberg's term in office, and Mayor Bloomberg appointed her to the Boards of The Department of Cultural Affairs and New York City Center.

Ms. Wagner has received numerous awards and honors for her work in the beauty and publishing industries, as well as in women's leadership initiatives, and economic and educational development. She has served on various boards including The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; New York City Cultural Commission; Library of America; Foreign Policy Association; Harvard Business School Club of New York; Fund for Public Schools; and the New York City Cultural Commission. She is an active philanthropist and patron of the arts.
