Mr. Delmar Lee Roberts is an honorary fellow of the College of Law Practice Management, a distinction he considers a career highlight.

An accomplished listee, Mr. Roberts celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Mr. Roberts is an editor with more than 45 years of excellence in the publishing industry. He studied at Kings Business College in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1952 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Textile Management from North Carolina State University in 1956. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Mr. Roberts served his country as a member of the U.S. Army between 1956 and 1958, earning educational benefits which allowed him to pursue his passion for journalism. He undertook postgraduate study at the Institute for Political Studies at the University of Paris in 1963, and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1974 with a Master of Arts in journalism.

From 1959 until 1967, Mr. Roberts worked as a product development engineer for Uniroyal and a process improvement engineer for Allied Chemical Company of Columbia, South Carolina. He became the editor-in-chief of Sandlapper: The Magazine of South Carolina, from 1968 to 1974, and an associate editor of South Carolina History Illustrated Magazine in 1970. Between 1975 and 1989, Mr. Roberts continued editorial activity as the managing editor and art director of Legal Economics, a magazine of the American Bar Association, and of its Law Practice Management Magazine from 1990 until 2000. Since 2000, he has been an editor emeritus of Law Practice Management Magazine.

Mr. Roberts has continued freelance book editing since retirement. He has edited and provided design direction for more than 35 published books. He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, and has been active in the World Affairs Council of Columbia since 1997. He has served as the president of the Columbia Branch of the English-Speaking Union for more than 10 years. Mr. Roberts is an honorary fellow of the College of Law Practice Management, a distinction he considers a career highlight. In his retirement, he enjoys international travel and collects Turkish folk textiles.
