With more than 20 years of professional experience to her credit, Ms. Rosenstein excelled as a science teacher at Malverne High School in Malverne, New York, from 2000 until her retirement in 2010. At the beginning of her career, she taught science for New York City Board of Education from 1988 to 1996 before serving the Brentwood Unified School District in New York as a science teacher for a year. Soon thereafter, she worked as a part-time adjunct instructor at Brooklyn College and a science teacher at Hempstead High School in New York between 1997 and 2000. In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Rosenstein found success as an advisor for the Rube Goldberg Competition at Hempstead High School and the very first robotics team at Malverne High School between 1998 and 2003.

Prior to embarking on her professional path, Ms. Rosenstein pursued a formal education at Adelphi University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in physics with a minor in mathematics in 1987. She concluded her academic efforts at the aforementioned university with a Master of Science in physics in 1994. Moreover, Ms. Rosenstein obtained certifications to teach physics and general science in the state of New York for grades 7 through 12.

In the past, Ms. Rosenstein contributed as an operating committee member for the Star Trek Conventions between 1972 and 1976. To remain aware of changes in the field, she maintained her affiliation with the New York Academy of Sciences and the Long Island Physics Teachers Association. Outside of work, Ms. Rosenstein enjoyed reading, cooking, knitting, and bonding with her cats in her spare time.
