Mr. is renowned as the owner of A Perfect Finish, a painting company serving clients around the Front Range in Colorado since 2010. A second-generation painter, he initially worked alongside his father and brothers before attending Front Range Community College in Fort Collins. It was there when he established his own painting business (A Perfect Finish) and decided to leave school in order to pursue his entrepreneurial endeavor full time.
In January of 2018, Mr. Hurlbut's father, Joe, suffered a heart attack which left him incapable of performing the physically demanding tasks required of a painting contractor. He has since joined A Perfect Finish as a project manager along with his youngest son, Hunter Hurlbut. The family operation now works together serving clients across the Front Range. In 2018, Mr. Hurlbut and his wife, Brianna, also opened a Pilates franchise, Club Pilates Cherry Hills.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Hurlbut hopes to build his businesses to be self-sustaining so that he is able to dedicate more time to his community projects and to his children. He is proud to have achieved success in business, but notes that his highest goal is to be present for his sons.
