Antonetta Anna DiGiustini Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    BOSTON, MA, March 02, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Antonetta Anna DiGiustini with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. DiGiustini celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Supported by an impressive educational background, Ms. DiGiustini led a prolific career as an educator, nonprofit professional and government professional, and public servant for more than four decades.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Harvard University in 1997, with a concentration in modern European history. She was the recipient of numerous academic scholarships, including the Harvard Faculty Scholarship and Radcliffe College Scholarships. Ms. DiGiustini received Harvard University endorsement for her candidacy for the Rhodes Scholarship, a distinction bestowed by Harvard President Emeritus Derek C. Bok. She was a Rotary Club Fellowship Candidate, Boston Finalist. Ms. DiGiustini was distinguished as a Radcliffe Club of Boston Scholar for highest academic achievements, an honor bestowed only to ten incoming Harvard undergraduate women from the Greater Boston area. As an undergraduate at Harvard, Ms. DiGiustini was a student of Charles S. Maier, eminent historian of comparative European, American, and global and international history and Leverett Saltonstall Professor of History Emeritus at Harvard University, who was her history professor and senior thesis advisor and who is one of her mentors. Earlier in her life, she attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Brighton, Massachusetts, from which she graduated valedictorian. In addition to being valedictorian of her high school class, Ms. DiGiustini received numerous prestigious national and state honors during her high school years, including the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Award (1978), the Westinghouse Science Talent Search Honors Group (1978; she was the only high school junior nationally to receive this honor), and first prize in the Massachusetts State Science Fair for two consecutive years (1977 and 1978). She is a Society for Science & the Public Science Talent Search Alumna. Her poetry was first published in her high school years by the National Poetry Press.

At the start of her career, Ms. DiGiustini served as a teacher and coordinator of the scholarship program for the Charles River Creative Arts Program, a multi-arts summer program for children, at Charles River School in Dover, Massachusetts, in 1977. As she progressed with the institution, she served from her senior year of high school on the board of directors and as secretary of the North End Union, Inc., a settlement house founded in 1892, in Boston until her departure in 1992. She also acted as the assistant director of public programs and education for The Bostonian Society from 1991 to 1993.

Ms. DiGiustini was aligned with the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study (formerly Radcliffe College), where she worked as a staff assistant for the Radcliffe Development Information Services Division from 1995 to 1998, later progressing to the role of stewardship coordinator for the Radcliffe Development Office from 1998 until her departure in 2003. Ms. DiGiustini co-founded LearningBOSTON, a multi-arts and history education summer program for children, at The Advent School in Boston in 1999 and served in directorial and teaching roles there until 2007. She was also associated with the Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse of the Legislature of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a research analyst from 2007 to 2008, as well as with the United Way of Massachusetts Bay in Boston and with Harvard University.

Currently, Ms. DiGiustini is a staff member of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, serving since 2008 as the Clerk of the House Committee on Bills in the Third Reading. Since 2000, Ms. DiGiustini has been teaching creative writing and history as a master teacher at The Saturday Course at Milton Academy, an academic program for gifted children. She was distinguished as a master teacher early in her teaching tenure and career at Milton Academy.

As an alumna of Harvard University, Ms. DiGiustini is very active in the Harvard Alumni Association, serving in numerous leadership roles in alumni-related activities at Harvard. She also serves as a Harvard alumna in a senior leadership capacity in Harvard's Phillips Brooks House (PBHA) Alumni Association.

Ms. DiGiustini has participated in numerous related conferences and seminars. She feels that the highlight of her career has been teaching and mentoring others. In fact, over the years, she has made notable attempts to foster growth and potential in all of her students. For her professional efforts, Ms. DiGiustini received several honors, including the Radcliffe College Exemplary Service Award.
