CLEVELAND, OH, March 04, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Wendel E. Willmann with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Willmann celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An esteemed attorney of more than 30 years, Mr. Willmann contributed for the majority of his legal career as a partner at Willmann and James in Cleveland. Prior to acquiring a law degree, he served as a high school teacher in Parma and Fairview between 1959 and 1972. Mr. Willmann subsequently found success as a salesman for Connecticut General Life between 1966 and 1967.

A community leader on numerous initiatives, Mr. Willmann excelled as the vice president of the Parma School Board. He devoted himself further to education as a board member and the president of the Fairview Teachers Association, as well as a member on the board of regents for his alma mater, Capital University. Likewise, he volunteered his time for numerous religious efforts, including as a volunteer for the Parma Hunger Center, the chairman of the Parma Lutheran Church and a board director of the Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Among his many successes in the legal field, Mr. Willmann's greatest achievement was winning a medical malpractice case which resulted in a settlement of $10.7 million – the largest case he had ever handled. Long before this culmination of his career, he had aspired to become a lawyer while coming of age. However, after acquiring a bachelor's degree, he was drafted for six months into the U.S. Army, and remained active for five years as a reservist. Following the conclusion of his military service, Mr. Willmann decided to work as a teacher for over a decade, and eventually returned to school in order to realize his original ambitions.

An alumnus of Capital University, Mr. Willmann received a Bachelor of Arts in 1957. He later acquired a Master of Arts in education at Kent State University in 1963 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Cleveland Marshall Law School in 1969.
