Through his varying surveying positions he gained extensive knowledge in equipment operations, job site surveying, topography, and data collection. He worked on projects at the National Harbor in Ft. Washington, MD, Boulevard at the Capital Center in Largo, MD, Bowie Town Center in Bowie, MD, projects at Andrews Air Force Base in P.G. County, MD, and Fort Meade Army installation in Fort Meade, MD.
In a career suffused with highlights, Mr. Terry is especially proud to have conducted boundary surveys and work with scientists on streams to establish the impact of a new housing project with Brevard Project in Clinton, MD. He also provided construction layouts for a new commissary building, parking lot, new roads and entrances at Fort Meade. Mr. Terry is honored to have acquired real estate based on bank statements, and through studious negotiation, rather than from his own yearly income.
In his civic endeavors, Mr. Terry gives back to his community by mentoring at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, as well as Jericho Baptist Church, and was inducted into Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans in 1991. Mr. Terry is extremely proud he served as a positive male role model serving as a mentor demonstrating values such as dependability, punctuality, reliability and to understand the importance of education to their personal and future goals. As a result of his endeavors, he is proud to mention Darion Ray Atkins, an American professional basketball player for Brose Bamberg of the German Basketball Bundesliga, graduated from UVA; Darius Ray Atkins, professional model and extra in movies, graduated from AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts in NY City; and Aaron Atkins, served in Afghanistan, and graduated from U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
