Boasting over 50 years of trial experience in civil litigation, Mr. Rolin is a tenured attorney who practiced out of the Law Office of Christopher Rolin, in Westlake Village, California and Newport Coast, California from 2001 through 2018. In 2019, he relocated to Newport Coast. He is also renowed for his extensive expertise in legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, fee disputes and ethics. Focusing on attorney conduct in compliance with the applicable community standard of care, Mr. Rolin also serves as an expert witness who has provided testimony in the real estate arena in regard to residential and commercial real estate agency malpractice, individual real estate agent malpractice, as well as transactions, interpretation of legal forms and documentation.

Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Rolin has taken more than 100 cases to judgment and verdict and has settled several hundred other cases. Meanwhile, his trial experience has resulted in multiple assignments as an expert witness on trial and the attorneys' duty to render services in compliance with the community standards of care and to uphold required fiduciary duties. Mr. Rolin has notably excelled as an expert for both plaintiffs and defendants in legal malpractice and real estate cases.

Prior to becoming a sole practitioner, Mr. Rolin worked as a partner at several firms, including Newkirk, Newkirk & Rolin and Haight, Dickson, Brown & Bonesteel. While with Haight, Dickson, he contributed on the executive committee, as a partner in charge of the legal malpractice and partner in charge of the business and litigation and real estate unit of the firm. Speaking before numerous professional groups regarding trial practice issues and the attorney standard of care, he has locally found success moving through the chain from secretary to president and the chairman of fundraising events for Legion Lex at the University of California. Furthermore, Mr. Rolin participated on the board of directors of Wellness Community, now known as Cancer Support, and his local homeowners association (HOA).

Mr. Rolin initially pursued an education at the University of California, earning an undergraduate degree in 1961. He subsequently acquired a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Southern California in 1965. Likewise, Mr. Rolin has been admitted to practice by the State Bar of California and has since become a certified specialist in legal malpractice in California.

Among other industry-related organizations, Mr. Rolin was a member of the board of directors of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Arbitration Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, where he is a former member of the vice chairman and the chairman of the Law Management Section. Mr. Rolin was previously active as a past president of the Optimist Club in Pacific Palisades.

Of all his years in law, Mr. Rolin especially enjoyed the pro bono cases on which he had the opportunity to work for those who could not afford services. He is also very proud of a case where he was able to acquire a recovery of $35 million as an expert witness. An Av-Rated Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Rolin is also a celebrated Marquis listee who has been featured in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in the West. He is most pleased to have been active in the Cowboy Lawyers Club of Southern California.
