Kathy Fields Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Education

Mrs. Fields draws upon decades of expertise in education as owner of the eponymous Be More Than Core



Kathy Fields contributes to her community as a member of the Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership, where she serves as a mentor to female school administrators.

    NICHOLASVILLE, KY, March 27, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathy Fields has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. A former school superintendent, Ms. Fields channels her expertise in education and with an educational nonprofit into her work as the president, the owner and the chief executive officer of Be More Than Core. Her most recent book, Intentionally, the Very Best Me, shares enlightening, age-appropriate examples that reinforce social and emotional skills for children while illustrating all the ways that they can be honest, kind and trustworthy citizens of the world. An internationally recognized leader in her field, Ms. Fields was inspired by a number of incredible mentors and female role models that encouraged her to pursue a career in education. She has made it a life-time goal to intentionally do the same for others.

Although her storied career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Fields is especially proud of becoming appointed as a school superintendent in Kentucky, one of which achieved much both academically and socially. Personally, she has received the School Administrator of the Year from the National Crime Watch Association, the Women of Distinction Award in 2017, the Distinguished Alumni from Georgetown College, The William Stafford Leadership Award, and the 201& Educator of the Year Award from the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Fields is a national presenter and consultant.

In pursuit of her career in education, Ms. Fields earned a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education before obtaining her Master of Arts in elementary education from Georgetown College. She earned her leadership certificates from Morehead State University and has participated in numerous professional development opportunities at Harvard University. She contributes to her community as a member of the Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership, where she serves as a mentor to female school administrators. She has served on the Chamber of Commerce and United Way of the Bluegrass boards. Her work with the International Alliance for Invitational Education has taken her across the world emphasizing character education and leadership. Looking toward the future, Ms. Fields aims to conduct more presentations and to broaden her reach internationally where she can continue to empower other young women
