Suzanne Nader is renowned as a retired educator with more than 55 years of service to her discipline and students.

Ms. Nader is renowned as a retired educator with more than 55 years of service to her discipline and students. Interested in teaching since childhood, she initially completed coursework at Siena Heights University and Mercy College of Detroit before earning her elementary teacher's license in the state of Michigan. Ms. Nader subsequently concluded her studies at Eastern Michigan University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in 1982 and a Master of Arts in 1990.

Ms. Nader began her career teaching fifth grade in a private parochial school. Her career continued in the Wayne-Westland School District as a junior high alternative program instructor and also as a substitute teacher in the senior high program. Ms. Nader accepted a position with the Willow Run School District teaching adult education and high school completion in the evening program. Ms. Nader continued working in the Wayne-Westland District and in 1993 she moved to the position of regular elementary classroom teacher for second and third grades, and moved to the position of fifth grade teacher from 1994 to 1998.

From 1998 to 2010, Ms. Nader found further success as a second and third grade teacher in Wayne Westland Schools. She was actively involved in school improvement for the district on the Language Arts Committee, as well as serving on the building committee as chairperson. Ms. Nader mentored five student teachers from Eastern Michigan University. She taught English classes at Schoolcraft College and worked as a private English Language Tutor for adult students. Ms. Nader has notably implemented visual arts and arts-integrated curriculum to her classes throughout her career. Ms. Nader received a grant from the American Association of University Women and was a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Women in Leadership Network.
