She initially pursued an education at The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in textiles and apparel in 2006. She also attended a study abroad program at the Paris Fashion Institute while attending university. Ms. Jackson subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration in management from Baruch College, a part of the City University of New York system, in 2013.
From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Jackson interned with Haseltine Couture, Love Brigade, and Lacoste, focusing on design and merchandising responsibilities. She further flourished as a merchandising coordinator for Calvin Klein from 2007 to 2009, at which point she accepted a position with Winston Retail Solutions. From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Jackson established her first entrepreneurial venture with Yoga Lifestyle Holistic Services while abroad on the island of Dominica.
Ms. Jackson notably established Yogi Mama, LLC, in 2016, and Av Norden in 2019. Excited to be working for herself, she hopes that Av Norden will become an avenue of influence for the fashion industry to become more human and environmentally sustainable.
