Ms. Tennapel-Chicklo is renowned as a fashion and textile designer with several decades of distinction in her field. Growing up in post-war England, she developed a great empathy for others and a determination to work hard and achieve her goals in the face of obstacles. Ms. Tennapel-Chicklo subsequently pursued an education at the London School of Art, where she completed coursework in fashion design and manufacture, pattern drafting and commercial art.
By kindergarten, Ms. Tennapel-Chicklo was already making her own clothes, and developed a signature aesthetic by her early teenage years. She was accepted into design school at the age of 15, making her the youngest student ever enrolled at the institution at the time. Ms. Tennapel-Chicklo's designs focus on sportswear and outerwear for women and children, and have been notably produced by several major apparel manufacturers.
Since 2015, Ms. Tennapel-Chicklo has excelled as the co-chair of the Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research, Inc. She has been involved in fundraising and advocacy for organizations including the Arthritis Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Looking toward the future, Ms. Tennapel-Chicklo hopes to be able to focus on her philanthropic work, particularly her work in supporting the fight against cancer.
