Charles Huff has been Inducted into the Marquis Who's Who Registry

Mr. Huff has prospered greatly as the assistant head football coach at the University of Alabama



    TUSCALOOSA, AL, April 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles Huff has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Huff is renowned as a coach with more than 15 years of excellence in college football to his credit. He initially pursued an education at Hampton University, where he played football from 2001 to 2005, at which point he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physical education. Driven by a desire to help teach young men integrity and life skills through sports, Mr. Huff strives to connect with each of his players even beyond their skills on the field.

In 2006, Mr. Huff began his career as an offensive line coach for Tennessee State University, for which he later served as the director of football operations and the special teams coordinator from 2007 to 2008. Briefly working as the University of Maryland's assistant offensive line coach in 2009, he returned to Hampton University in 2010 in the position of an offensive line coach. Mr. Huff was an offensive quality control coach through 2011 at Vanderbilt University.

Mr. Huff further flourished as the running backs coach for the Buffalo Bills' 2012 season before thriving as a running backs coach for Western Michigan University from 2013 to 2014. After Western Michigan, Mr. Huff spent 4 years at Penn State University as the special teams coordinator and running backs coach from 2014 to 2017. Soon thereafter, he was appointed as the assistant head coach at Mississippi State University for the 2018 to 2019 academic year. Since 2019, Mr. Huff has excelled as the assistant head football coach and the running backs coach for the University of Alabama.

Mr. Huff has been recognized by Hampton University for his accomplishments as a student athlete, and was a nominee for the 2013 Frank Broyles Award. He is a member of the American Association of Health, Physical Recreation, and Dance and the American Football Coaching Association, with which he participates on the minority issues committee. Looking toward the future, Mr. Huff hopes to become the first African American football coach to lead a college team to a major college National Championship.
