LOCUST GROVE, GA, April 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Therese Rauth Viscelli with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Viscelli celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

A successful leader in information technology, academia, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Viscelli has served in the concurrent roles of the director of software development for American Software, Inc., in Atlanta, the director of information technology for Mizuno, USA, Inc., in Norcross, and a manager of technical implementation and support for E3 Corporation in Marietta. She subsequently held teaching appointments at the DeVry Institute of America, Georgia State University and Auburn University, where she taught various accounting software and other courses, and found success as a support faculty member at Kennesaw State University. Presently, Dr. Viscelli is a visiting assistant professor at Mercer University as of 2018, and has worked as the president and chief executive officer of V-Shell, Inc. since 2000.

Following the conclusion of her collegiate studies, Ms. Viscelli began working with computers. Appointed to various positions with such organizations like Hugh's Aircraft Company and Kearfott Singer, she later transitioned into software development roles and then into account management with a software company as a representative for the company. She eventually moved into academia when she discovered the lack of real experience in accounting software. After teaching for several years, Dr. Viscelli decided to pursue a doctorate degree.

Throughout her career, Dr. Viscelli is notably most proud to have provided five years towards Mizuno, USA, Inc., a sporting and athletic goods company. Joining the organization in 1993, she managed to upgrade their 20-year-old software and take the company from a manual to a completely digital warehouse. A community advocate and volunteer for years, Dr. Viscelli has been involved with such nonprofit organizations as Meals on Wheels, has taught Sunday school for her church parish, has served as an advisor to a women's fraternity, and mentored undergraduate engineering students, among other activities.

Dr. Viscelli acquired a Bachelor of Science at Georgia Institute of Technology in 1977, after which she undertook postgraduate coursework at Southern Technical Institute. In subsequent years, she received a Master of Business Administration at Georgia State University in 1997, and a Doctor of Business Administration at Kennesaw State University in 2013. Dr. Viscelli is a member and former program chairman and former vice president of the American Production and Inventory Control Society. She is also a member of the Georgia Tech Greek Fraternity Alumni Association. A celebrated Marquis listee, she has been included in close to 20 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Finance and Business and Who's Who of American Women.
